Money Saving Thursdays #2
Let's talk organic expellar pressed coconut oil....this is the best moisturizer I have ever found. I love the smell and my skin is baby soft. My elbows have not been this soft since childhood. Plus there are no artificial ingredients to worry about. You can often find it on sale at Amazon.com, and it will last a long time. I use it on my skin and to cook with. Talking about a money saver......

Money Saving Thursdays
Today I am starting a special thursday savings blog. I have always tried to be a good steward of my money, but when I lost my job several years ago I had to become very savvy. One of the things I have put into practice is choose natural when you can.
Our topic today will be hair coloring. There are some wonderful and cheap ways to color and highlight your hair. Tea is my favorite. Chamomile tea can bring out natural hightlights, along with lemon. Boil your water, add the tea bag and lemon, and let it steep until it cools down. Fill a spray bottle and spray your hair all over. In the summer you can go outside and let the sun dry it for you. Otherwise, just let it dry naturally in the house. Regular tea offers a pretty auburn touch if you have lighter hair. This is such a cheap and easy alternative to hair dye. Plus, it is all natural.

Fridays Friendships
A true friend is such a treasured gift. Today I was able to visit with two of my gifts. As I visited with my friend from out of town, I realized how much I would miss her when she left. Her positive attitude beaming, even when most would be struggling to function at all. She inspires me to continue to find the good, even when it is hard. Then my other friend stopped by to pick up his birthday cake I had made him. He also had plenty of reasons to be down, but chose not to be.
So my thought for the day is, you get to choose your attitude each moment of each day. These two wonderful friends chose to be positive when most would not have. They inspire me to smile and choose the positive route too.

Journey of emotions
This has been an emotional week thus far. I watched as one of my best friends from high school had to bury her father. However, in this sad time I have found the sunshine. God brought two best friends back together. It reminded me how important female connections are. As women we have to navigate through so much, and the laughter and comfort of a friend makes it all easier. So today I just want to uplift, encourage, and remind all the women out there that they are fabulous.
